Omaha Moms Blog :: Introducing Malinda

Omaha

I have lived in Council Bluffs since I was just 6 years old, my husband was born and raised in Omaha and has a lot of family here, so we consider the whole metro area our home. I love raising our children here! There is always something to do, see, or experience. No matter what time of year, you can always find family friendly activities happening somewhere close to home.

Moms

I am so blessed to be married to my best friend, Caleb. We were married in 2004 and began our family in 2005! We now have seven amazing children.  Braydon(2005), Zachary(2006), Nolan(2007-2010), Riley(2009), Madalin(2011), Kenton(2014), and Sophie(2015). I am a stay at home mom and I love every minute of it. My older boys are involved in sports, my oldest daughter does gymnastics and takes dance, and my littles keep me on my toes by doing all the things little ones do. I love watching these kids grow, and finding things that they have a passion for. I love watching them learn how to become better at their sport. I love watching them become individuals, each with their own unique personalities. Its always amazing to me how seven children can all be so different. It can be challenging attempting to fulfill each of the individual needs, while also encouraging them to become independent and try things for themselves.

Blog

I am so excited to be joining Omaha Moms Blog as a contributor. I have met so many amazing moms over the last 12 years, and I have learned so much from many of them. I hope to be able to use some of my own stories and learning experiences to encourage and lend a hand to other moms through OMB. We each have a different perspective on how to mother, but if we work together, we can lift each other up as we navigate this world of motherhood.

Malinda
Malinda lives in Council Bluffs with her husband of 13 years, Caleb. They have been blessed with seven beautiful children. Braydon (2005), Zachary (2006), Nolan (2007-2010), Riley (2009), Madalin (2011), Kenton (2014), and Sophie (2015). She is a stay at home. If shes not at home, shes driving her kids to baseball, basketball, football, dance or gymnastics. With four kiddos involved in activities, each day means she is headed somewhere to cheer them on. Her only hobby would be sleep, which she rarely finds time for. But someday when the children have all grown, there will be time for hobbies, but for today she enjoys every minute of being a full time mom.

  1. Being a full time, stay at home mom is a blessing. Funny how we say “full time” and “stay at home” but there is no part time mommying. You either are a mom it your not, right? lol And getting to be a stay at home mom means you are actually rarely at home — rather taking kids all kinds of places, learning all kinds of things and making sure they grow into the adults they are meant to be. I am personally, gratefully aware of all that means. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
