Meet the Deslers, a local family with a huge heart for football. During football season (which starts in early spring and goes through December), the family lives and breathes the sport. Eric played through high school and both he and Cortney grew up cheering for the Huskers. They love going to games and tailgating with friends and family. Their 11-year-old son, Logan, started running around with a football when he was a toddler.
Football is more than just a game for them. It unites them as a family and is a tradition they are passing on to their kids.
Logan just finished his season of tackle football. He loves that playing football is a way for him to learn more about the game. He also is making friends with his teammates and enjoys being on a team and the competition.
Football is so much more than tailgating and cheering for your favorite team. Football is about spending time together as a family, playing catch after dinner, hosting watch parties, and friendly competition. It brings friends and families together and fosters community.
There’s a reason flag football and youth football are gaining popularity among families across the country.
It is a collaborative team sport that teaches kids the importance of teamwork, dedication, and hard work.
The skills kids learn playing football extend beyond the field and into their daily life. It is a fun sport that anyone can play.
Football teaches kids the value of working hard and being part of a team. It also builds community. Football is a family-friendly event. Whether you’re playing or watching, everyone can get involved! When one of your kids is playing, their siblings can watch and cheer from the sidelines and celebrate the team’s accomplishments.
National Football Foundation Supports the Tradition
