Family-Friendly St. Patrick’s Day Events
March 11 | St. Patrick’s Day Parade
10 a.m.
The parade starts on 16th and Harney St and travels East on Harney to 11th Street, heads South to Howard and West to 13th and Howard.
March 12 | Irish Dinner, Saint Vincent of Lerins Orthodox Christian Church
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Feast on Irish food, like bangers and mash with gravy, buttered peas and Irish soda bread with Irish butter.
March 13 | Make St. Patrick’s Day Slime
Learning Post, 120 Regency Pkwy Omaha
11 a.m.
Make your own ooey, gooey St. Patrick’s Day Slime! This is a FREE all ages event.
March 14-19 | Gnome Hunt at The Tree Adventure
Arbor Day Farm, Nebraska City
Join in the fun of finding all your favorite gnomes and discover their hiding places. Enjoy special crafts on March 18.
March 17 | Meet a Musician Storytime, Bess Johnson Elkhorn Library
10:30 a.m.
Meet Alexa Brown from the Omaha Symphony as she plays Irish music on her viola, and reads Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase.
March 18 | Shamrock Run 5k, Aksarben Village
8 a.m.
Bring your green and orange and everything fun! This is a family-friendly event for participants of all ages and skill levels.
