Barreras Family Farm | Blaire, NE
The Barreras Family Farm is a quality sustainable farm near Omaha, Nebraska with opportunities for education, group tours, and special family events. Educational programs include a variety of farm-to-table concepts, holding, and petting farm animals, playing on the farm tires, hay forts, and more.
There are also summer camp opportunities and a Rent-a-Chick program where kids can take home 2 baby chicks for one week to learn about proper care!
Scatter Joy Acres | Murray, NE
Open every day from 10am-6pm, Scatter Joy Acres has friendly barnyard animals where you can learn about farm animals through interaction. From chickens to cows, from donkeys to ducks, llamas to alpacas, and sheep to goats, ponies, and even a camel! This incredible farm provides animal therapy for the developmentally disabled, seniors, and veterans both at the ranch on-site at many other facilities in and around the metro Omaha area.

Gifford Farm | Bellevue, NE
Gifford Farm is a great educational resource to Nebraska families, serving over 30,000 visitors per year. Many festivals and open houses are held on the farm so that the community can share in the gift of the farm.
The Gifford Farm Education Center is open to the public this spring every Monday in April and May from 10am-12pm. $5 per person (2 and under free). Pack a lunch and plan to spend the day with the animals. They also have summer camps for kids.
