The combination of three parks in the heart of Downtown, there is something for everyone. There are open park spaces, an amphitheater, public art, and playground features for kids – like the Arches Playground, Cascades interactive water feature, and the Skate Ribbon.
There are always events happening, and you can check those out here. Happening this spring:
Pi Day | March 14 | 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy music, poetry, games, and of course mini pies as you celebrate the mathematical holiday!
HUMP DAY! Camel Photos | April 3 | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Celebrate HUMP DAY and take a selfie with a camel from Scatter Joy Acres.
Science Sunday | April 7 | 1-2pm
This is a free family-friendly hour for you to learn about nature, animals, medicine and more with hands-on science activities.
Explore “The Bob” (Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge)
Who knew a bridge could be so fun? Between standing in two states at once (there is just something about that spot where you have one foot in Nebraska and another in Iowa) and finding Omar the Troll under the bridge (and rubbing his toe allegedly makes your wish come true!), The Bob is where local memories are made!
On the Nebraska side, enjoy the Omaha Plaza with an interactive water fountain during the warmer months, and also access the National Park Service Visitors Center. This Visitors Center has some hands-on displays for kids as well as a dress up center.
Get Creative and Visit Do Space
Do Space is a technology library providing free access with programs and events for everyone in Omaha, including kids! You can check out their full list of events here.
