The Omaha Parks and Recreation Department hosts hydrant parties around the city all summer long. The parties happen at 3 different locations around Omaha on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from June 5 through July 28 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Check the schedule for more details and locations.

What to Expect
Members of the fire department open the hydrants and are on site. The street or parking lot is closed down and kids and families can run and play in the water.
Plan to park about a block away from the party as the street with the open hydrant will be closed.
Sometimes there are also water balloons, popsicles, stickers, and a meet and greet with firefighters.
