Do your kids enjoy a PB & Jelly sandwich?
My kids are almost carbon copies of each other. But only on the outside.
Inside, they are as different as can be. Different combinations of the same genes.
Just like the sandwiches requested for lunch.
One kid wanted just peanut butter.
One kid wanted just jelly.
One kid wanted BOTH peanut butter and jelly.
On the outside, the sandwiches look the same. But the inside is very different (as my children will tell you).
And just as the sandwich ingredients complement each other, so do my children. They go together like . . . .well. . . like peanut butter and jelly.

I LOVE peanut butter. It has to be one of my top 5 favorite foods. From PB sandwiches to PB cups to just a big spoonful of peanut butter. I put peanut butter on my pancakes. . . sometimes even PB powder in the pancake batter. It’s amazing.
Over the holidays, I tried something different with my peanut butter cookie recipe. I turned them into PB&J cookies. Take a look below.

- 1 batch Peanut Butter Cookie Dough You can buy this pre-made or make your own!
- 1 jar Jelly/Jam/Fruit Preserves Whatever flavor you like!
Ingredients

- Roll two equal-sized dough balls.
- On one dough ball, use your thumb to squish a bowl shape. Make sure there is enough dough on the bottom so the jelly won’t burn and make sure there is enough of a lip on the top so the jelly stays inside.
- Fill the hole with your favorite jelly or jam or fruit spread.
- Flatten the second dough ball.
- Use the second dough ball to cover the jelly. Pinch the sides to keep the jelly inside.
- Put the cookies in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (or freezer for 10-15 minutes).
- Bake according to your cookie dough recipe.
