1. Indoor and outdoor waterpark
My kids are 7, 8, and 10 and they swam and played for hours! With 5 big slides, 3 small slides, a lazy river, an obstacle course and basketball hoops, hot tub, and more inside, there truly is something for all ages. In the summer, the outdoor pool is open for swimming and playing. We spent most of our time inside, but it’s great to have the option to go outside.
2. Mini golf, laser tag, arcade, and more
If you need a break from swimming, there are plenty of other things to do onsite. We tried the MagiQuest for the first time and it was great! Each kid got a wand and passport and we walked through the lodge solving riddles and completing tasks. We also sluiced for gemstones and made Build-a-Bears.
3. Food on sight
Once you get to GWL you really don’t have to leave unless you want to. There are several dining options including a breakfast buffet (the dining room looks like you’re in a treehouse), pizza, and sandwiches and burgers. And ice cream and a candy shop!
4. Free activities
Included in your stay are all kinds of things for kids to experience to make your stay memorable. Activities like yoga, trivia, and crafts happen daily as well as dance parties and storytime. Throughout the day there are also chances to say hi and take a picture with different characters.
5. Family-friendly rooms
Staying in a hotel room with kids isn’t always easy but GWL has a variety of room options that make it fun! Themed suites have bunk beds in tent- or cabin-themed sleeping areas. Rooms also have a mini-fridge and microwave, so you can bring your own food or heat up leftovers.
