Easter Events In and Around Omaha

Are you looking for some Easter fun for the family? Here are six events going on in the Omaha area. Easter is March 31, 2024.

You’re invited to our grand opening event on March 30 from 10-11:30am, where we will be cutting the ribbon on a new chapter of excitement and fun! Take an exclusive tour of our state-of-the-art facility and learn more about our exciting curriculum. We invite families, neighbors, and friends to come together and celebrate this new chapter with us. Let’s build a strong foundation for the future, one joyful moment at a time. Guests will have the pleasure of indulging in a selection of amenities, including a coffee truck, donuts, carnival games, and an Easter egg hunt. Additionally, our esteemed mascot, Bubbles, will be in attendance to join in our big celebration!


Easter Events in Omaha

1. Easter Extravaganza at Lauritzen Gardens

When: March 29 to April 8, 9a.m.-5p.m.

Where: Lauritzen Gardens 100 Bancroft St, Omaha, NE 68108

Cost: FREE for members or $15 for ages 13 and up $9 for ages 3-12 and 2 under are free.

Visit the garden any time during these dates and find the 14 hidden eggs in the garden. You might also find some hidden golden eggs, which can be taken back to the visitor center for a prize. 

2. Gretna Easter Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, March 23 at 10 a.m.

Where: North Park ball field, Gretna, NE 

Cost: FREE

This Easter egg hunt is for ages 0-10, and the kids are split up into age groups. The Easter Bunny will be there for pictures.

3. Grand Opening Celebration, TLE Omaha West

When: Saturday, March 30, 10-11:30 am 

Where: The Learning Experience, Omaha West, Omaha 204 & Q 20101 P St, Omaha, NE 68135

Cost: FREE

Grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony, donuts, easter egg hunt, carnival games, and more. Bubbles, the mascot, will also be in attendance.

4. Eggventures at DoSpace

When: Saturday, March 30 9a.m.-5p.m.

Where: DoSpace, 5111 N. 90th St, Omaha, NE 68134

Cost: FREE

The whole family can do a scavenger hunt for 10 book-themed eggs. The prize for finding them is a 3-D-printed egg.

5. Family Fun Day Easter at Time on My Hands

When: Sunday, March 24, 2p.m.-5p.m.

Where: Time on My Hands: Crafts and Services, 7020 Maple Street, Omaha, NE 68104

Cost: $10 for a group of 4 (no tickets required, pay at the door)

This event includes crafts, Easter-themed face painting, and balloon artists.

6. All Day Easter Egg Hunt at Trucks and Taps

When: Saturday, March 30, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Trucks and Taps, 5402 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68137

Cost: FREE

Grab some food from a food truck while the kids hunt for hidden eggs.

7. Easter Fun at Arbor Day Farm

When: March 31, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Where: Arbor Day Farm and Lied Lodge, 2611 Arbor Ave, Nebraska City, NE 68410

Cost: $14 for adults, $12 for kids 3-12 years of age, and children under 3 are free.

Enjoy a springtime outing through the Tree Adventure woods and hunt for eggs. Kids can visit the Easter Bunny, decorate an egg for the Easter egg tree, enjoy a craft to take home, and participate in an egg drop competition. Face painting is available for an extra fee.

Angela is the mother of two, Seamus (9) and Maggie (7) and also stepmother to Isabella (17). She is married to Dustin and lives in the southwest Omaha area. She grew up in northwest Omaha and graduated from UNO. With an education degree, she taught in the public schools and worked in higher education before becoming a stay-at-home mom and working part-time, teaching English online. Now she volunteers through Lutheran Family services, helping clients with their English skills. In her spare time, Angela enjoys reading, writing, painting, knitting, gardening, and cooking. She loves Omaha because it is the perfect place for a family while also having a great offering of art and culinary experiences.
