You can’t miss the towering orange eggs and vibrant lime green tunnels that are the focal points of the Heartland of America Park in downtown Omaha. Located along the Missouri River, the park is a must-see destination for families.

Enter the park next to the Luminarium. The park is great for all ages. Older kids love climbing to the top of the orange eggs and taking the slide down and there are plenty of options for younger kids to climb and play.

During the summer there are water features to play and splash in. If your kids aren’t into climbing, the sand area has lots of options for digging and creativity.

The area also includes a lakeside amphitheater, bocce courts, firepits, urban beach, and Farnam Pier.

The Skate Ribbon is at the corner of 8th and Farnam Street and offers year-round skating. You can bring your own skates or rent roller skates or ice skates in the winter. There is also a dog park and more green space to throw a ball, picnic, or relax.

The Heartland of America Park is located next to the Kiewit Luminarium as well as the Bob Pedestrian Bridge.
