5 Things to do in Omaha this Fall

1. Pick a pumpkin (or apples)
Visiting a pumpkin patch or apple orchard is a quintessential fall activity. Spend an afternoon playing at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch or apple picking at Ditmar’s Orchard in Council Bluffs, IA, or Nelson Produce Farm in Valley, NE. Test your navigation skills in a corn maze!
2. Go to a festival
Put on a flannel and enjoy a fall festival. There’s just something magical about strolling through a local festival with a warm drink on a crisp afternoon.
3. Take a hike
Fall is a great time to get outside and enjoy nature. We recommend the trails at Fontenelle Forest or Neale Woods. Unplug and take in the beautiful fall colors.
4. Celebrate Halloween
Why limit Halloween festivities to a single day? Get more mileage out of that costume and take the kids to Gouls & Glow at the Omaha Zoo or one of the Halloween events at The Durham Museum.
5. Catch a football game
Whether you take in a local high school rivalry or head to Lincoln for a Husker game, fall is football season!
